Insecure about your smile
Want a natural smile?
Is cost effecting your decision?
Porcelain veneers are the ultimate smile transformation. A great big smile can help your personality truly shine through. But when you have cracked, chipped or badly stained teeth, showing the world your widest smile can be difficult. Thankfully, dental veneers can hide the flaws you’d rather not see, delivering a great big grin in the process
What are dental veneers?
Think of veneers as thin casings that hug your teeth and make them look pearly and white.
Whether you’re trying to enhance teeth that are a different size, close gaps, or improve colouring, veneers are an incredible, simple long-term solution that gives you a natural looking, strong, healthy smile.
The types of veneers
There are two different types of veneers available –
Plastic (composite) and Porcelain.
Composite veneers are a cost effective solution that offer a fantastic, natural look.However, in comparison to the porcelain veneers, they can be more susceptible to discolouration and wear over time.
Porcelain veneers are the long term solution to achieving the perfect smile.
Specifically tailored to your teeth, porcelain veneers are strong and durable,
giving you a natural look that will shine for years to come!
Maintenance of veneers?
It is important to care for your veneers the same as you would your natural teeth.
They are still open to decay and can break if put under too much stress.
Here are a few tips to keep your veneers looking as good as new:
- Make sure that you are brushing twice a day, along with a daily floss;
- Don’t use them to open beer bottles, bite your nails or chew on ice;
- Maintain regular 6 month checkup to monitor how they are going;
- If they are composite veneers they are more prone to losing their shine and may wear down quicker, so we recommend a polish every 6 months or so.

As with any intensive dental treatment, complications can arise.
Sometime a veneer may not be enough on its own, and we may need to crown the tooth. This will be determined in the consultation if, in your individual case, we require a stronger base for the veneer.
Sensitivity or pain can also occur, and teeth may require root canal treatment or extraction in order to relieve the symptoms.
