Children’s Dental
Why bring your child to Mint Dental?
For the team at Mint Dental, there are lots of reasons to love coming to work. But one of the biggest is interacting with fabulous people like you and your family every day.
We get a real buzz developing a relationship with our young patients, and are committed to helping them establish good oral health habits from the get-go. That’s why we do everything we can to make every visit as comfortable as possible, and to develop treatment plans designed for your child’s unique needs.
Think all kids hate going to the dentist?
Mint Dental kids are different. Thanks to our fun, friendly, kid-centered vibe, we’ve got the happiest little patients around!
How do we do it?
For our kid-loving dental team, it’s all about trust, fun and regularity. But it takes time to form a bond, which is why we recommend that you book your little ones in for their first appointment before, or as close to their first birthday as possible, with visits every 6 months thereafter. That way, they get used to seeing us, we get to know them, and everyone’s happy!
Regular dental visits for children help us with:
Trust
The more familiar your child is with our dentists, staff and surgery, the more trusting they’ll be of the entire dental experience. The more trusting they are, the more co-operative they are, making a visit to the dentist a stress free experience for everyone.
Early detection
Routine check ups are the best way for us to identify and manage emerging dental problems, reducing any pain or discomfort your child may experience in the process.
Good hygiene habits
By teaching your kids good oral health habits early on, you’ll spare them the expense and pain of dental problems later on. We use colourful illustrations and videos to make the learning experience as fun as possible.
Preventative measures
Unfortunately, some kids are prone to dental decay. If that’s something your little one has to deal with, we can apply preventative measures like fluoride sealants to protect their teeth from cavities.
Identification & prevention of orthodontic problems
Your children’s teeth can change significantly as they grow. Regular, routine visits ensure orthodontic problems are detected and treated as early as possible, saving you time, money and frustration in the future.
